Very Exciting News – We have been successful in our grant application to become a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden School. Successful schools were officially announced this week by the Australian government. We are the first school on the Northern Beaches to receive a grant. Well done to all who helped make this happen! www.kitchengardenfoundation.org.au

National Recycling Week this week (7-13 Nov)

Did you know that there are a whole range of community recycling programs that provide drop-off locations for recycling things like corks, eye glasses, batteries, printer cartridges, mobile phones. Seaforth PS is collecting unwanted reading, sight and sunglasses for Balgowlah Lions Club to help improve the eyesight of children and adults all around the world. Any unwanted glasses in good condition (frames + lenses) can be dropped in the box at our Kempbridge St office. Check out RecyclingNearYou.com.au to find other products you can recycle, and drop-off locations nearby. Do you know anyone who can help us build our kitchen garden?

A community meeting is being held at Yatama St Campus of Seaforth Public School on Monday 12 Dec at 7pm to inform the community about our Kitchen Garden Project and how they can be involved. If you know of anyone who may be able to assist us in building our kitchen and garden (time, goods, trades), please pass this invite on. Everyone is welcome to attend. RSVP to seaforthkg@gmail.com for catering purposes.
