We are almost there and are into the final stages of building our amazing kitchen and canteen, which should be ready Term 1, 2014!!! Garden Shed - Thanks to Project Local

Garden Shed installed – thanks for your vote!

We now have our garden shed installed onsite at Yatama St!  It looks fantastic.  Thank you to Project Local and all the parents and friends who supported our school’s application by voting.  Now we just need to fill it up with class sets of tools! Seaforth Kitchen Garden gets Stephanie Alexander grant

Very Exciting News – We have been successful in our grant application to become a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden School. Successful schools were officially announced this week by the Australian government. We are the first school on the Northern Beaches to receive a grant. Well done to all who helped make this happen! www.kitchengardenfoundation.org.au

National Recycling Week this week (7-13 Nov)

Did you know that there are a whole range of community recycling programs that provide drop-off locations for recycling things like corks, eye glasses, batteries, printer cartridges, mobile phones. Seaforth PS is collecting unwanted reading, sight and sunglasses for Balgowlah Lions Club to help improve the eyesight of children and adults all around the world. Any unwanted glasses in good condition (frames + lenses) can be dropped in the box at our Kempbridge St office. Seaforth Public School Market Night is on this Friday 16 Sept from 5.30pm. Come along & visit us at the Kitchen Garden Stall. Stock up on Herbs, Tomatoes, Seedlings, Fruit & Veg Bags , Flowers and Salad Leaves & there will be guessing competitions and other fun activities. See you there.

A community meeting is being held at Yatama St Campus of Seaforth Public School on Monday 12 Dec at 7pm to inform the community about our Kitchen Garden Project and how they can be involved. If you know of anyone who may be able to assist us in building our kitchen and garden (time, goods, trades), please pass this invite on. Everyone is welcome to attend.
