In October 2011, Seaforth Public School was successful in becoming the first Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden School on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The school was awarded a $60 000 grant from the Australian Government, towards the implementation of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden National Program (SAKGP).

As a Kitchen Garden school, Seaforth Public School is committed to a pleasurable, meaningful, dynamic and innovative, whole of school, food and sustainability education model, enabling skills-based learning extending across all KLA’s of the school curriculum.

We are currently building a beautiful edible garden and kitchen and we are now well on our way to creating an environment where our children can gain an education for life!

We are not only excited to expand the educational experiences of the children at Seaforth Public School, but also to enhance our involvement with the wider community.
